Fun Facts & Things To-Do: Check out the largest public viewing observatory in the State of Idaho at this park ($5 Admission Fee Cash or Check only), just a 1/2 mile walk/bike ride from the campground. They offer presentations on Friday and Saturday nights. With this event being held a couple days after the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower should be perfect time to view the sky and get some pretty sweet pics. Then there is a lake and a pond for fishing, swimming right near the observatory. The dunes are accessible to play on but no driving allowed on them. Bring along a sled, sandboard or just go for a hike. The largest single-structured dune in North America is located here….pretty cool! There is a fairly large reservoir not too far away as well as the Snake River just to the north. Mountain Home is about 15 miles away and Boise about a hour.
This year we have more room and everyone will have an assigned home for the weekend.

You are free to roam on your own or join in on some fun activities that we have up our sleeve. There will also be an amazing raffle that tickets will be handed out upon check-in and you can earn additional ones throughout the weekend.

This event is designated for our valued CVT family.

Pets: Well behaved pets are welcome in nearly all state parks as long as they’re physically restrained which means you must be holding them, holding onto their collar, or have them on a leash no longer than six feet. The exceptions are if your pet is in an off-leash area, inside your vehicle or tent. Leashing your pet prevents them from tangling with wild animals or other people’s pets, getting lost, ransacking campground garbage or being hit by a car. It also avoids a citation which there are many park rangers that come through this particular park and it will be enforced. There will be a lot of CVT family members sleeping in close proximity so we ask that if your dog is a known barker please leave them at home.
