I’m the First review, yes! Lol.

Bought the Mt Shasta ext. Loved it and waited to get mine on my 2016 4Runner. Finally camped out and slept in it @ dechutes national forest, with an awesome view of mountains. Only downside and is recommended to buy is the condensation mat, very little wet from overnight sleeping on the first night of sleeping. Til next morning seeing the little wetness after folding it back in place to head out of camp. Mat is needed when purchasing and I forgot to buy one when I was there twice. Cause I came back for some other CVT accessories. Also bout annex channel for easy installation. Thanks to the crew member and staff, Jamie on the sales, and the guys in the back helping me with and extra hand DIY Installing the rack myself in my roof rack of my 4Runner. Thank you CVTfamily!

Impressed with this tent. Had it for 1 1/2 years now used it at least 70 nights. It withstood forecasted wind gusts up to 75 mph the whole night at the Overland Expo this year 2016. My brother just bought one too. Way to go Mark, you and Silvia will love it.

What can I say, this tent is awesome. I’ve done 3 weekend trips in it so far. From 85° nights in the Everglades with the windows open on the tent, to Francis Marion National Forest in SC, 45° nights with just a normal sleeping bag. With just a little practice, the tent can set up in 5 minutes with one person, and fold up in 8-10 minutes. The mattress is very comfortable. Me and my girlfriend have plenty of space in there with all the blankets and pillows. Oh and you can leave the bedding in the whole trip without a problem!

I do recommend getting the anti condensation mat for the tent tho since I have a light water build up in the mornings. The mat has saved the mattress.

    Great product CVT!

I spent about 6 months looking at roof top tents. After all, this was a big purchase for me. I found that the structural concepts of the tents are basically the same. The difference would be in the details. I finally decided to purchase the Mt. Shasta Extended Stargazer Pioneer! I used my tent for this first time this weekend and I am here to tell all of you who are on the fence about which brand to purchase……CVT got the details right!

First and foremost, their customer service was great in every part of the process. The build quality of the tent exceeded my expectations. I previously had a chance to put my hands on a few other brands, and was not fully impressed. So my advice would be to be careful when looking at cheaper options. You will get what you pay for.

I headed back to the last spot I camped with a vengeance. You see, it is very rocky ground and it was about 40 degrees that night. My ground tent made for one of the most uncomfortable nights of my life. But that wouldn’t be the case this time. I set my tent up and when it was time to call it a night, I couldn’t have asked for a better nights sleep….I actually think the foam mattress in the tent is more comfortable than my bed at home. So I guess I should probably replace that…..

Anyway the tent sets up fairly easy and seems to regulate the internal temperature very well. It was also super windy (gusts from 10-15mph) and the tent handled it just fine. I love having the extended feature to allow me to be covered when I climb down the later. It also provides for a larger annex room below. You can fit a fairly large sized air mattress in the annex room incase you need some extra sleeping room for some friends. And did I mention how much space this is for 2 people? Plenty.

I don’t normally write reviews for anything I purchase. In fact this is only the second time I can remember…..and the first time I got some free stuff for doing so. But I had the best experience in my tent this weekend, and you could too. There are a lot of suppliers for roof top tents….I can probably name them all. But if you want a great tent from top to bottom, go with CVT.

Great tent! I mounted the Mt Shasta Extended on my 3rd gen 4Runner and love the results. My wife and I can setup the tent in roughly 3 minutes and take it all down in roughly 5 minutes because we take our time.

The first time we used it we had severe winds and storms around us. The tent and rain fly kept us dry even with all the windows open during the high winds and rain. The next morning my wife told me she was extremely happy with the tent and was already wanting to plan the next trip.

Great tent. Great service. CVT customer for life.

In February of 2016, after a year and a half of shopping around, my husband and I decided to drive to Bend to pick up our cvt! We met an older gentlemen on Saturday to pick up the tent. He showed us around, and we settled on the mt Shasta with the annex. I have 2 regrets with this tent 1) not getting the anti condensation mat and 2) not getting the stargazer feature.

We have a 2003 dodge 1500, and have the cvt on the top. The standard ladder is too short, so our next purchase will be the extended ladder.

Cvt’s customer service has been fantastic. We had an issue with a cover and no questions asked got it fixed. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another if we needed to. It’s been on 3 rigs and taken two families (mine, and we lent it to my dad) many different locations. Love my cvt!

After seeing multiple pictures on social media and how cool these tents looked, my wife and I decided to make the 6 hour drive to Bend,OR to take a look at the CVT store. We decided to purchase the Mt. Shasta extended pioneer series with the star gazer attachment.
The customer service we received was outstanding. They where very patient with us and all our questions. The quality of the tents are outstanding, I have no complaints about the tent at all. We are able to fit 2 adults and 2 dogs where we sleep, plus you still have the annex room down below for even more room! Setting up the tent is a breeze, average 5 minutes with 2 people.

I had a couple questions when setting up the tent at home, so I called CVT and left a message. the next day, the owner himself called me back and was very helpful. He gave me his personal number and said to contact him anytime if I had anymore question. Now thats customer service!

Plus they have a awesome Military discount! Thanks CVT for all your support.

We are very happy to say. We were bone dry the wife put a roll of paper towels inside as we had to leave for
A few hours and still not a drop of water inside. The mat made a big difference I highly recommend to get the mat also
Thanks CVT. We had a great weekend even with the weather

Many people rave about a purchase having only used it once or twice, but I wanted to really use this tent before a review. I just spent 5 nights in this tent in an area of Maine called KI-Jo Mary Multiple Use Forest, a very off grid area deep in the woods. The mounting system withstood the thrashing I gave it on the roof of my Jeep including all the tree limbs dragging over the cover with no damage. I spent one night on top of a mountain with 45 mph winds and temp as low as 28 degrees and found the quality of the construction to be equal too if not greater than advertised. The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I found the mattress to be much to firm for my tastes. I will have to think about what to do next season to improve the comfort level, but overall I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend these to anyone!
